SHIP2

Lawrence Glinski came to America from Ostafne Galicia in 1910 to seek Employment and settle in a place and send for his family. In 1912, his wife, Catherine Bobinski, along with 2 children already born, Frank and John, came to the U.S. also.  The day his wife and children were to come to America they were suppose to travel on the Titanic, but one of the children was sick and the ship’s captain  would not let them board because of the illness, so they had to wait a few weeks for the next ship.

Good thing!  It sank!  We are not sure which boat they came. When they left their homeland their names were Catherine May Bobinski Glinska and Lawrence Joseph Glinski.

The boys were Glinski also.  In their country the Glinski was the male form and Glinksa was the female form of their last name. The children us the male form of the name.

After coming to the United States all  their names changed to Glanski.

They moved to Pottstown area and had four more children.

Their Children:  John,  Frank,  Mary Elizabeth, Stanley, Anna Irene,  Helen.
